Disposable Life

I have a confession to make.  I used to be different...quite a bit different to the person I am today.  What makes writing this blog so powerful for me personally is that every day I am forced to remember the person I used to be, the choices I made and the beliefs I upheld, even when others shared good reasons with me to choose and believe otherwise.  It is very hard to write this post, because no one likes to be seen in a bad light, but I believe the grief I feel in sharing how I used to be is less important than the message of this post.  So I will do this, I will share how I used to be, and what happened to change me, and why I cannot ever return to the person I used to be.

Sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day, and as much as I enjoy writing posts for this blog, it generally takes a day to complete a post which has meant a policy of quality over quantity.  I hope that my readers feel that this is a worthwhile policy and will bear with me until I have time again to write more posts.  I do have plenty of subjects prepared in my mind to write about, I just need the time to sit down and invest that energy.

Part of the reason for the delay in posts is that in March I began teaching English part time until the end of June and with the onset of spring here in Sweden, there has been quite a lot of garden work that needed to be done in a short span of time.

However, just when the gardening was done and there seemed to be some time becoming available for writing posts, something very important presented itself that must occupy my time for the next while.  While it is true that "the pen is mightier than the sword" and great works can begin just with a few well written words, sometimes one must take their efforts to the next level.
